Contact
Lark is made and run by one person. There is no support team and no ticket queue — messages go to a single inbox and are read by the person who wrote the game.
The address for everything is contact@larkrealm.com. Please put a few words in the subject line about what it concerns — "bug", "idea", "advertising", "privacy" — so it lands in the right pile.
Expect a reply within a few days for most things. This is a free game built in spare time, so a slow answer is not a lost message.
Reporting a bug
Bug reports are genuinely welcome — most of what gets fixed comes from players noticing something wrong. Because Lark runs entirely in your browser, a few details make a problem far easier to reproduce:
- What happened, and what you expected instead. One sentence each is plenty.
- Where you were and what you were doing — the town or area, the quest and stage, the enemy you were fighting, the item you clicked.
- Your browser and device — for example "Chrome on Windows" or "Safari on an iPhone".
- A screenshot, if the problem is something you can see.
- Your recovery code, but only if the problem is with your character or your save. You can find it in the in-game Settings → Cloud backup. Never send it for anything else — it is the key to your save.
Lost your character? Before anything else, check Settings → Cloud backup on the device you played on, or sign in with the Google account you used. A save that was only ever stored in a browser you have since cleared cannot be recovered — there is no server copy of it.
Ideas, feedback and balance
Suggestions are read, and a fair few have shipped. The most useful feedback is specific about the experience rather than the fix: "the stretch between levels 30 and 40 felt like a wall" tells me more than "buff Mining XP", because it points at a problem instead of a solution.
If something feels unfair in combat, say which enemy, at roughly what level, and with what gear and food. Fights are tuned against a simulator, and a real player's account of a fight that went badly is the best evidence that the simulation is missing something.
Advertising, press and business
Lark carries advertising to cover hosting and stay free to play. For advertising, sponsorship, press or partnership enquiries, use the same address with "advertising" or "press" in the subject.
Lark does not sell power. Cosmetics are earned by playing, never bought, and no proposal that changes that will be taken up — it is a design commitment, not a pricing decision.
Privacy and data requests
For anything about your data — a copy of what is stored, deletion of an account or a cloud save, or a question about advertising cookies — email the same address with "privacy" in the subject, and include the recovery code or the Google email address the data is attached to so the right record can be found.
What is and is not stored is set out in full in the privacy policy. The short version: your character lives in your own browser unless you deliberately turn on cloud backup or sign in.
Common questions
Is there a Discord, forum or subreddit?
Not at the moment. Lark is single-player and deliberately has no chat, no accounts you need, and no community moderation burden. Email is the only channel, and it goes straight to the developer.
Can I write about Lark, stream it, or make videos?
Yes, freely, including monetised videos and streams — no permission needed and no revenue share asked. A link back to larkrealm.com is appreciated but not required. If you would like a press kit or higher-resolution art, ask.
Will you add multiplayer?
There are no plans for it. Lark captures the feel of the old browser RPGs in a single-player shell on purpose: no servers to keep alive, no accounts required, no moderation, and a world that is entirely yours. That constraint is what keeps it free and instant.
How do I delete everything?
Clear this site's data in your browser and the local save is gone. If you turned on cloud backup, email with "privacy" in the subject and your recovery code, and the stored blob will be deleted. Signed in with Google? Say so, and the account row goes with it.
